Well...who would have thought on May 15th, with more than a month to go until June 20th, that we would be 60% sold out for our next dance: Lights! Music! Dance!The decor for this dance will be a bit of a hommage to Hollywood and the Red Carpet.Might we suggest you let your dance fashion imagination loose: maybe come as your favourite movie star.?..or maybe in your faviourite red carpet look? Whatever you decide, the lights - and the music! - will be up and waiting for you!Ticket prices are $30.00 per person.JWDOttawa welcomes comments from all who have attended our dances in the past. JWD PATRONS’ GENEROUS GIFT to the Rideau Valley Wildlife SanctuaryOur guests at the March 21st dance raised $151.50 through our 50/50 draw for the Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary.The Sanctuary rescues, rehabilitates, and releases wildlife in need. They also wean orphaned wildlife and release when ready. The overarching objective is to ensure that wildlife remain wild and don't get too comfortable with humans.In response to this donation, the Sanctuary sent us a card with the attached note:"Your compassion and generosity mean so much to us - thank you. For the animals in our care, you are a lifeline. During their time of greatest need, you are helping provide warmth, shelter, bedding, food and formula, medication, enrichment and 24/7 care. In other words, you are helping to give them a second chance at life. I hope you are proud of that.Injured and orphaned wildlife need our help all year long. We are so grateful to be here for them during the worst time of their lives and we couldn't help them without you - thank you."CONGRATULATIONS! to the winner of this dance’s draw!

Your ticket price includes: entry to the dance and a light Buffet, including tea and coffee.
Drinks can be purchased at the CASH ONLY bar (no debit or credit accepted). There is an ATM on site if needed.Drugs or outside alcohol are NOT permitted anywhere in the Legion
Dances Take Place at the Royal Canadian Legion Eastview (Branch 462) located at 294 Cyr Avenue, Vanier.Doors open at 6:45. Parking is free, in the Legion lot (south side of building). Parking is free on the street after 6pm.Parking is NOT allowed in the funeral home lot (north side of Legion).

Our Musical Artists: Alex Lopez - Generations
Generations is a father and son musical duo who capture a range of music from latin, country, classic rock, and several genres in between.Alex Lopez is an Ottawa musician who's no stranger to the music scene in the city. You can find him at various gigs across the city or teaching and shaping future muscians.Emilio Lopez boasts an impressive musical history from his early days in Mexico to his time settled here in Ottawa with his family. You can always find him cheering on Alex the loudest and proudest at any event.

How to Purchase Tickets & Other Information
We accept INTERAC e-transfer for ticket purchases to the following address: [email protected]Tickets are now $30.00 per person, effective the March 21st, 2026 dance. The increase reflects the increased costs of sponsoring these dance.We are set up for autodeposit, so no password is required.Any other payment arrangement MUST BE agreed to by the JWD Team in advance.When sending your e-transfer, in the INTERAC comment box PLEASE INCLUDE the first and last names of each person for whom you are purchasing tickets.Confirmation of ticket purchase will be forwarded via return email, and will include a QR code for each ticket purchased. The QR code must either be presented digitally (ie., on smartphone) or by hard copy at the time of dance registration.Because of space restrictions and fire code requirements, specific seating requests will ONLY be confirmed at the time of registration on the day of the dance.Please note that we do not offer group pricing.Please note that tickets are advance purchase only; they CANNOT be purchased at the door.Please note that ticket purchases are non-refundable.If you have any questions not strictly related to ticket purchase, please contact us using the form below.
